Facebook Messenger Integration

Facebook Messenger is an instant messaging application and has become more popular among organizations and communities in recent years. It allows people to get in touch with organizations and ask their questions in one of the easiest ways. By setting up forms.app’s Facebook Messenger integration, you can allow your visitors to directly contact you.

How to find the Messenger URL on Facebook

In order to enable Facebook Messenger integration, first, you have to find your Messenger URL on Facebook. This URL helps you connect your online form with Messenger and show an instant message bubble on your forms. Here are two ways to learn your Messenger URL:

Option 1:

1. Open Facebook and log in to your account:

2. Next, you can find your username in the URL section of your account. Just click on your profile and check the URL area:

3. In case you haven't set the username yet, access the Accounts Center on the left and select the profile needed:

4. Find your Page username by opening the Username tab. You should see something like @yourusername:

5. After that, build your Messenger link. Once you know your username, use this format: “https://m.me/yourusername”:

Example: https://m.me/janecooper

Option 2:

1. Open Facebook and log in to your account:

2. Once you are in, click the profile picture in the right corner and select the Page needed:

3. Click the name of your page from the left corner:

4. Check the URL of the page, copy the Page ID, and build the Messenger URL from it:

Example: https://m.me/{page-id}

How to enable the Facebook Messenger integration

Once you have your messenger URL, all you need to do is open your form integration settings and paste the link to the relevant field. In order to enable the Facebook Messenger integration, simply follow these steps:

1. Click the Connect tab, scroll down, and find the Facebook Messenger integration:

2. Then, paste the Messenger URL here to integrate Facebook Messenger with your online form:

After you set up the Facebook Messenger integration, your visitors will see a bubble in the upper right corner of the screen and use it to get in touch with your organization instantly.
