How to enable notifications for the respondents?
Did you know you can notify our respondents with an email? That’s right, you can create a customized email for your guests. Let's check out how you can do it with a few easy steps.
Please note that the Notifications for the respondents feature is only available on our paid plans.
Similar to enabling notifications for yourself, you can easily enable respondent notifications on forms.app:
1. Open your form and click the “Settings” button on the edit page. Once the settings menu is opened, you will see the Notifications option on the left side:

2. Click on the Notify Respondents and simply toggle the button at the top:

You must include an email field in your forms to send notifications to your respondents.
How to customize notification emails
In addition to sending email notifications, you can also customize them by using the variables.
1. Edit the texts you would like to send and add variables by clicking the plus button or typing @:

2. Change the content of the notification emails. Your form title, form url, and answers to the questions are shown in the emails by default. However, you can change the texts and add only the answers you like.

Yes, you can always include the PDF version of form responses by enabling the “Send answers as PDF attachments” setting in your notification settings menu.
Regarding our email notification functionality, the PDF copy of the response will be sent to the submitter only if the file size does not exceed 15 MB.
