Filter by Zapier

When you use forms.app as the trigger (“New Form Submission”) and add Filter by Zapier as the next step, your workflow becomes smarter: the Zap checks the form submission against your custom rules, and only if the conditions are satisfied does the workflow continue to the next action. In this way, you avoid triggering actions for every submission.

What you’ll need:

  • A forms.app account (to create the form and receive submissions)
  • A Zapier account (to build the Zap)
  • Filter by Zapier (available in Zapier)

5 Steps to Set Up Filter by Zapier + forms.app Integration

  1. In your forms.app dashboard, build and publish your form so that submissions will trigger a “New Form Submission” event in Zapier.

  2. In Zapier, click “Make a Zap” → choose forms.app as the trigger app → select the “New Form Submission” trigger and connect your forms.app account.

  3. After the trigger, click the “+” icon to add a new step → select Filter by Zapier → set the condition(s) you want (for example: “Budget (Number) greater than 1000”, or “Country questions is selected US”).

  4. Add the next step(s): connect the action app you want to run when the conditions are met (for example: send an email, create a row in Google Sheets, post a Slack message, etc.). Configure the action using the form submission data.

  5. Test your Zap with a sample form submission that meets the filter criteria → if successful, turn the Zap ON. From now on, every new form submission will run through the filter and only continue when it meets your condition.

With the integration of forms.app and Filter by Zapier, you can automate your workflows in a precise way by filtering the submissions that truly matter.
